This breed is presented in detail, including the breeding work behind all the currently developed color varieties. It is wonderful that such a book has been published in Slovak! About the Author
tadeáš mikurda
Tadeáš Mikurda has been involved in rabbit breeding since childhood and has more than 14 years of experience. Since 2018, he has specialized in the Slovak national breed, the Liptov Bold-Spotted Rabbit, achieving several notable successes. For his breeding work, he received an award from the Slovak Association of Breeders. Already during high school, he developed a strong interest in genetics, which led him to win the national round of a science competition and later represent Slovakia at the international level.
He is the first to propose the professional designation of a new allele, sL, which explains the genetic mechanism behind the typical markings of the Liptov Bold-Spotted Rabbit breed. The book Rabbit Genetics combines years of breeding experience with the latest scientific knowledge. It is not just a theoretical publication — it's written so that everyone can find value in it, whether an expert looking for detailed genetic explanations or a breeder who wants to better understand what happens in their breeding program.Tadeáš aims to make rabbit genetics not only a science for specialists, but also a practical foundation for everyone who wants to breed responsibly and with understanding.
